1. Are storefront reviews important?
Definitely! 65% of couples actively seek out vendor reviews when deciding who to book for their big day, and vendors with reviews receive up to 2x more leads than vendors who have none. Client reviews and your replies to those reviews give couples a better sense of what it’s like to work with you, and reviews also create more Storefront content, which is great for SEO!
2. Who can post a review?
Any client or couple who has paid for your wedding-related event services and can produce a contract/proof of payment can post a review if they’re registered on our platform. The wedding-related event that the client is reviewing must have taken place within the last two years. Regardless of whether services are terminated prior to the event date, if business interactions took place, then that client will still be permitted to post a review.
3. Can couples review me on both WeddingWire and The Knot?
Yes. If you have Storefronts on both The Knot and WeddingWire, couples can review your business on both Storefronts.
4. Do you only allow positive reviews?
We want reviewers to share their honest opinions and experiences, so feedback can be positive, neutral, or negative, as long as the review adheres to our Reviews Policy.
5. Can reviews include photos?
Yes! Reviewers can include photos with their reviews, so long as the photos adhere to our Reviews Policy, are of good quality (at least 300px wide by 300px high) and are relevant to the review content.
6. How do I request reviews from past clients?
You can request reviews via WeddingPro’s Reviews Portal. To do this, log in to WeddingPro, then click on the ‘Reviews’ tab at the top of the page.
You can then click on the ‘Request Reviews’ button for your The Knot or WeddingWire Storefront to access an email template that you can edit and send to past clients directly from your WeddingPro account.
Alternatively, you can click the ‘Copy Link’ buttons for personal WeddingWire and The Knot URL links that you can email or text to past clients.
7. Where can I see review requests I’ve sent?
WeddingWire’s Review Collector, located in the sidebar menu of the Reviews section of your WeddingWire Dashboard, lets you see review requests you’ve sent and requests clients have replied to.
Please note that the Review Collector feature is not available on The Knot.
8. Can I send follow-up requests?
Yes. WeddingWire will automatically send the client a 7-day reminder if the requested review has not been received. WeddingWire’s Review Collector allows you to send a client a maximum of three requests. These requests must be sent at least 15 days apart.
The Review Collector feature is not available on The Knot; however, we feel that it’s still important to personally check in with your couples to let them know how much their review would mean to you and your business!
9. Why isn’t the system updating to show that the requested review has been received?
If a couple submits a review using an email address other than the one to which the review request was sent, WeddingWire’s Review Collector will not be able to match the request with the review and update the request status accordingly. Don’t worry, the review will still appear on your Storefront!
10. Why isn’t a review appearing on my storefront?
Reviews typically appear within an hour of submission, though it can sometimes take up to 48 hours. If a review has not appeared within 48 hours of submission, it may be that the reviewer has not completed the registration process, or our system may have flagged it for further review.
11. Who can couples contact if they’re having difficulties submitting a review?
If a couple encounters any difficulties in submitting their review, please have them reach out to our Policy Team at reviewhelp@weddingpro.com.
12. Where can I read and reply to my reviews?
In the Reviews section of your The Knot or WeddingWire Storefront. There, paid vendors can respond to reviews and select a review to highlight/display as the first review. This is also where you may choose to dispute a review if it is in violation of our Reviews Policy.
13. What is the policy relating to review replies?
Please take a look at our transparent Reviews Policy for all the guidelines and expectations for reviews, review responses, and review disputes.

15. Can I delete/remove reviews from my storefront?
We’re committed to faithfully reflecting the true breadth and variety of couple experiences. We do not permit vendors to remove reviews from their Storefronts.
16. Can I dispute a review?
You can dispute a review if it violates our Reviews Policy. Our team will accept disputes on the basis of the below reasons:
- Contains profane, vulgar, racist statement or adult material.
- Contains a last name, date of birth, address (outside of the business).
- Contains personal attacks to a vendor and/or their appearance.
- Is for a non-wedding related event.
- Is factually inaccurate (backed by documentation).
- Written by someone that didn’t conduct business with you.
- Is a duplicate review.
- The wedding event that the client is reviewing has taken place more over two years prior to the date of posting the review.
Invalid dispute reasons include examples such as:
- Wrong wedding dates: This doesn't change the content of the review, and we don’t require reviewers to update their wedding dates in the system as they change.
- Reviews posted on your Storefront over 12 months ago: We don’t expect the wedding pro or the reviewer to retain documentation beyond that timeframe.
- A difference of opinion: If you believe that a review contains false information, you must support this claim with objective documentation.
- A review that has already been disputed: You may only dispute a review one time.
17. How do I dispute a review?
To dispute a review, navigate to the Reviews section of your The Knot or WeddingWire dashboard, then click ‘Dispute’ under the review you wish to challenge. Please explain, in detail, the reason(s) you’re disputing the review, and provide documentation to support your claim.
18. How are review disputes resolved?
Once you have disputed the review, our team will begin an evaluation. Our team aims to be a neutral third party between reviewers and wedding professionals. Our team will not determine who is “right” or who is “wrong”, but rather evaluate if the review is in violation of our Reviews Policy or Terms of Use. Based on these guidelines, the team determines which reviews must be resubmitted without violating content, remain on the site(s) as they are, or, be removed.
During our evaluation, we may temporarily hide the disputed review while we make a determination. TKWW may request documentation from both parties to ensure a complete evaluation of its eligibility. If we request documentation, parties typically have 7 days to respond. The Knot Worldwide reserves the right to keep or remove any content from our site(s).
We share any documentation or correspondence shared with us during a dispute with the other party.
19. How do you prevent spam/fake reviews?
We’re committed to ensuring that the reviews posted are by real clients sharing their genuine feelings and experiences. Therefore, during a review dispute, TKWW may request valid documentation from both parties to ensure review eligibility. By maintaining this approach, we help preserve the integrity of our review spaces and provide clients with a more reliable, event-specific view of vendor performance, while giving wedding professionals confidence that the feedback they receive is credible, relevant, and fairly representative of their event business.
20. What do I do if I think a review on another vendor’s storefront violates The Knot Worldwide’s Terms of Use?
If you suspect that a review on another vendor’s Storefront violates our Terms of Use, please email us at reviewhelp@weddingpro.com, so our team can investigate.
21. How can I showcase the great reviews I have received?
You can optimize the visibility and reach of your reviews by highlighting a Review on your Storefront, earning the WeddingWire Rated badge and by adding the WeddingWire Review Widget to your website.
To highlight a review so that it’s the review that couples see first when they visit your Storefront, log in to your account, then navigate to your WeddingWire or The Knot dashboard and click on the 'Reviews' tab in the top toolbar.

27. Why isn’t the WeddingWire Review Widget displaying correctly on my business website?
If the WeddingWire Review Widget isn’t displaying correctly on your website, it is generally because the code wasn’t copied and pasted in its entirety, the code was added to a section of your website that doesn’t permit source HTML code, or the website builder does not support JavaScript. We have provided some steps for some popular website builders to assist you.
28. Can I win awards for the reviews I have received?
Yes! Each year, The Knot Worldwide recognizes and honors our top-rated wedding professionals across the United States with The Knot’s Best of Weddings and WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice Awards®.
29. What are the eligibility criteria for The Knot’s Best of Weddings and WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice Awards®?
To be eligible for an award, you must receive a minimum of seven reviews with an average rating of 4.5 stars or above in a calendar year.
Please note that awards are earned separately for each platform; you cannot transfer or combine reviews between platforms to meet the minimum eligibility requirements. Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee an award.
30. Can a change to a review affect my eligibility for an award?
If the removal of a review from your Storefront causes your average rating and review total to fall below the minimum requirement, it will affect your award eligibility.
Also, if a reviewer changes the star rating they gave in their review, it may impact your award eligibility.
31. Can a disputed review affect my eligibility for an award?
Yes; if a dispute case is still in progress after the December 31st deadline for award-qualifying reviews, the disputed review will be factored into the award eligibility calculations.
If a review is in dispute when award winners are determined, the vendor may, at the sole discretion of the TKWW Team, be eligible for reconsideration for the award.
32. When will award winners be notified?
Award winners will be notified by email in January, after the close of the previous award season; if you don’t see the email in your inbox, be sure to check your spam/junk folder so you don’t miss the great news!
33. What is The Knot Hall of Fame?
The Knot Hall of Fame award recognizes vendors who have won the Best of Weddings award a minimum of four times (wins do not have to be consecutive).
34. How can I celebrate my award wins?
Best of Weddings and Couples’ Choice Award® badges will automatically appear on your Storefronts to let couples know that you’re an award winner!
You will also receive badges for your website and social media pages, plus certificates, press release templates, and a downloadable GIF.
Award winners will be showcased in our WeddingWire Winners’ Hub and The Knot Winners Hub and enjoy other fabulous feature opportunities throughout our marketplaces.
35. Who do I contact if I have additional questions about reviews and awards?
