How Do I Request and Manage Reviews?

Reviews aren’t just important, they’re really important. Over 90% of couples read reviews to help them select their wedding vendors, and vendors with reviews can receive up to 2x more leads than vendors who have none. WeddingPro’s Reviews Portal enables you to quickly and easily request and respond to reviews on your WeddingWire and The Knot Storefronts. 

Accessing the WeddingPro Reviews Portal

  • Log in to your WeddingPro account. 
  • Click on the ‘Reviews’ tab at the top of the page.

Requesting Reviews: 

  • Personal Review Link
    • Click on the ‘Copy Link’ buttons for personal The Knot and WeddingWire URL links that you can email or text to past clients. 
      • Clicking on the link will bring your clients to a personalized review form for your business.
    • Please note that the client must provide a valid email address in order for us to verify the review.
  • Email Template
    • Alternatively, you can click on the ‘Request Reviews’ button for either The Knot or WeddingWire to access an email template that you can edit and send to past clients directly from your WeddingPro account.
      • The email received by the client includes a link to a personalized review form for your business. You can also choose to send a copy of the request email to yourself.
    • Please note that the client must provide a valid email address in order for us to verify the review. 

Review Request Follow-Up On WeddingWire

  • WeddingWire will automatically send the client a 7-day reminder if the requested review has not been received.
  • WeddingWire’s Review Collector, which can be found in the sidebar menu of the Reviews section of your WeddingWire Dashboard, lets you see your sent and replied-to review requests.
  • The Review Collector also lets you resend requests. Please note that the resend option will be unavailable if you have sent the couple a new request within the last 15 days, or if you have reached the maximum number of requests (three).
  • If a couple submits a review using an email address other than the one to which the review request was sent, our system will be unable to match the request with the review, and the Review Collector will not update the status of the request when the review is received.
  • The Review Collector feature is not available on The Knot, but whether you’re requesting a review for WeddingWire, The Knot or both, we feel that it’s important to also personally check in with your couples to let them know how much their review would mean to you and your business.

Managing Reviews

  • Clicking on the ‘Reviews’ tab for your The Knot or WeddingWire storefront will bring you to the Reviews section of that dashboard. Here, paid vendors can respond to reviews and select a review to highlight/display as the first review. This is also where you may choose to dispute a review if it is in violation of our Review Policy. Please see our Responding to Reviews help page for more information. 

Review Best Practices

  • If you have storefronts on both The Knot and WeddingWire, you can ask clients to review your business on both storefronts.
  • We recommend responding to every review (or as many reviews as possible) so that prospective clients can get a better sense of your personality and the rapport you have with your couples.
    • Please note that review responses are a premium-only (paid) feature.
    • Navigate to your WeddingPro Dashboard, click on ‘Reviews’ and select ‘Manage Reviews’ for the relevant storefront (The Knot or WeddingWire) and click on the ‘Upgrade Now’ link to find out more!

Reviews Not Visible on Your Storefront

  • Reviews typically appear on your storefront within an hour of submission, but it can sometimes take up to 48 hours.
  • If a review does not appear within 48 hours of submission, it is generally because the couple has not completed the registration process, which is required to verify the authenticity of the review.
  • If you received an email notification of a new review, but the review isn’t appearing on your storefront, our system may have flagged the content for further review.

Third-Party Reviews

  • Couples trust reviews when selecting vendors. Third-party reviews help boost credibility, set you apart, and don't affect your platform score or Awards eligibility. Use the toggle shown below to show or hide your third-party reviews at any time.

Reviews Assistance 

  • If your couples encounter any difficulties in submitting their reviews, please have them reach out to us at reviewhelp@weddingpro.com, and our Trust & Safety team will reach out to them directly. Please note that couples must be registered on the platform to leave a review.
