We have two great options for you to select the best photo to use as your listing’s main image:
- Smart Photo Selector is an exciting new tool that takes the guesswork out of picking the right main image and automatically chooses one for you! (Available for venues, catering, photography, flowers, planning, beauty & health, DJ and officiant categories)
- Alternatively, you can manually choose the photo you wish to use as the main image.
Smart Photo Selector
The Smart Photo Selector automatically chooses the best main image for your Storefront and directory listing. Our data-driven image selection identifies which photo in your gallery is most likely to appeal to couples based on the types of images that have driven the highest engagement in your category—no guesswork needed!
How does it work?
We use a proprietary algorithm that identifies which types of images are most likely to drive visits to Storefronts for each category based on historical performance. Then, the Smart Photo Selector uses that to select an image from your gallery that is most likely to get more clicks. For example, for venues, it’s discovered that outdoor pictures of the building tend to get more clicks than close-up images of indoor table settings
How can I enable/disable Smart Photo Selector?
Smart Photo Selector is exclusively available to our advertisers on The Knot and WeddingWire. By default, this tool is already turned on for your Storefront.
The toggle to switch this on and off is in the ‘Photos’ section on your Storefront:
If you’d like to opt out of Smart Photo Selector, you can:
- Slide the toggle to the left to disable the 'Smart Photo Selector'
- Once disabled, the gallery image that is selected as the main image will be the image that displays on your Storefront and listing.
- Please note that it may take up to two hours for changes to go into effect after enabling or disabling Smart Photo Selector.
How to Manually Choose a Photo as Your Main Image:
- Log in to your WeddingPro account.
- If you are updating your storefront on The Knot:
- Click on ‘The Knot’ on the top left-hand side of the screen.
- Click on the 'Storefront' tab at the top toolbar.
- Click the 'Photos & Videos' tab from the left navigation sidebar.
- Locate the photo you want to use as your main image, ensuring the ‘Smart Photo Selector’ is toggled off.
- Hover over the image and select 'Set as listing photo'.
- Select ‘Save’.
- If you are updating your storefront on WeddingWire:
- Click on ‘WeddingWire’ on the top left-hand side of the screen.
- Click on the 'Storefront' tab at the top toolbar.
- For WeddingWire, click the 'Photos' tab from the left navigation sidebar.
- Locate the photo you want to use as your main image, ensuring the ‘Smart Photo Selector’ is toggled off.
- Click on the drop-down list marked ‘Show as’ and click on ‘Main Image’. Press ‘Save’, and there you have it, your chosen photo will become your storefront’s main image.
